I had been employed by the RD music department for two whole years before I saw my first compilation released, and this was it! I had suggested the idea in October 1993, and after sooo much research, it was finally released. Before this collection, there had been no "all-in-one" party album, as most record labels had concentrated on 'dinner-party' music rather than the type of music played for birthdays, weddings, etc. Although, as was common, by the time this was released most of the major labels had released their own 'party' compilations, having 'pinched' the idea from the research RD had carried out. It went on to sell over 80.000 copies.
